If you want to create a low-fee portfolio that mimics a fund as closely as possible then the new “Copy Fund” tracker is for you. This tool constructs a portfolio using our list of cheap funds that matches the returns of the fund you specify (using a Yahoo Finance ticker) as closely as possible. It is the shape of the cumulative returns that are matched including falls as well as rises. You can specify a matching portfolio of up to five funds. For example if you want a cheaper alternative to Fundsmith global equity or Ruffer’s total return fund then this tool lets you try to match the returns of those funds.
